Alpine Miniatures - LAH tanker - Kharkov 1943 (still WIP one year later lol)

Hi all; after a very long pause I've restarted to work on that fig , with the firm intention to finish it soon (pffffff who will believe that ??)

I've finally decided to remove the Burberry pattern from the scarf, as I found it didn't really well fit the rest of the paint job. So far a mere buff will integrate more naturally the overall color scheme I think.

Happy new year to ya all! May your modelling projects go smoothly in 2013 :)

I start the year intending to paint that nice classic from Alpine Miniature; I know it's already been rendered a number of times by many talented painters, so I'm trying here to bring a bit of novelty with the swap of the head for another Alpine one (comes from set #35042). The soft-peak cap and the scarf give me the opportunity to add some nice contrast in a quite humdrum black&white color scheme.

That's all for now; hopefully I'll post some more progress next week.

Slow but steady progress... The scarf is almost there. I have to say the Burberry pattern keeps me busy far more than the realm of reasonable things, but so far I don't regret the time spent.
